Trello Integration

Manage project boards — list boards, lists, and cards, get a card, and create cards, add comments, or move cards (writes require approval).

This integration enables workers to:

  • List boards
  • List lists
  • List cards
  • Get a card
  • Create a card (approval-gated)
  • Add a comment to a card (approval-gated)
  • Move a card (approval-gated)

Setup

Follow these steps to connect Trello:

  1. Get your Trello API key and generate a token (trello.com/app-key)
  2. Navigate to Integrations and click 'Add Connection'
  3. Select Trello and enter your API key and token
  4. Assign your operations/project workers to use it

Security

  • The API key and token are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM)
  • The token inherits the issuing user's board access — use a least-privilege account
  • Creating cards, comments, and moving cards require human approval

Credential Storage

All integration credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. OAuth tokens are automatically refreshed when needed.
