SendGrid Integration

Send email and manage contacts — list templates, read stats, send email, and add contacts (sending requires approval).

Capabilities

This integration enables workers to:

  • List email templates
  • Read email delivery stats
  • Send an email (approval-gated)
  • Add contacts (approval-gated)

Setup

Follow these steps to connect SendGrid:

  1. Create a SendGrid API key (Settings → API Keys) with the needed mail send and marketing scopes
  2. Navigate to Integrations and click 'Add Connection'
  3. Select SendGrid and paste your API key
  4. Assign your marketing workers to use it

Security

  • The API key is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM)
  • Scope the API key to least privilege (e.g. restricted access)
  • Sending email and adding contacts require human approval

Credential Storage

All integration credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. OAuth tokens are automatically refreshed when needed.
