Workers

Understanding Autonomy Levels

Control how independently your AI workers operate with autonomy settings.

What are Autonomy Levels?

Autonomy levels determine how much independence a worker has when executing tasks. This allows you to balance efficiency with oversight.

Available Levels

Draft Only

  • Worker creates proposals but never executes
  • All actions require explicit human approval
  • Best for: New workers, sensitive operations, learning phase
  • Approval Required

  • Worker proposes actions and waits for approval
  • Human reviews and approves or rejects
  • Best for: Standard operations, balanced oversight
  • Auto Execute

  • Worker can execute within defined safety rules
  • Still respects tool restrictions and safety limits
  • Best for: Trusted workers, routine tasks, high-volume operations
  • Changing Autonomy Levels

    1. Navigate to the worker's settings

    2. Find the Autonomy section

    3. Select the appropriate level

    4. Save changes

    Safety Considerations

Higher autonomy levels should only be granted after:

  • The worker has demonstrated reliable behavior
  • Appropriate safety rules are in place
  • Team members understand the implications
  • autonomycontrolpermissions
